This page helps you to get started with your personal language learning project and to find relevant information on how to do so.
My blog is dedicated to the joy of learning languages. Whether or not you have a lot of experience in learning languages: This blog should inspire and help you getting your language project started.
Getting started with your language project
The first and most important thing when starting a language project is the outline. Take your time and think about which goal you want to achieve and what you need to do in order to achieve this goal.
As I regularly do language projects, I created a template for a language project plan. Every project is different, of course, but I think it covers the most important things and should give you a first idea of what to consider in advance. You can download my template as pdf here. And here is a blog post in which I explain the details and provide tips about the different points.
The more you are aware of what lies ahead of you, the more successful your project is going to be.
Getting resources
Every language project needs at least one resource and many successful language learners have their own toolbox of methods that work best for them.
You can find my personal toolbox here.
Here are some blog posts that might help you to find valuable resources:
Getting some inspiration
Language learning does not need to be a one-man show. There are many ambitioned learners out there and who heavily interact on blogs, forums and social media.
Facebook: If you are on Facebook, I recommend joining the Polyglots group, which is not only a place where you meet enthusiastic language learners but is also kept clean from spam etc.
Check out YouTube, Blogs or Podcasts about language learning in general. I’ve collected several good places for you in my toolbox!
If you need some fresh ideas or motivation along the way, I recommend the following popular posts on my blog.
